Deep Light Consulting (DLC) is a consulting firm based in Canberra focused on organisational culture, leadership and strategic planning. The name "Deep Light" reflects the complex and sometimes hidden world of organisational and people dynamics. We help get below the surface and make more aspects visible which in turn enables them to be worked on effectively. This includes the unidentified strengths. Without doing this deeper work, the same patterns, issues and challenges can keep recurring and prevent the full potential of a team, a leader or an entire organisation from being realised.
The Principal Consultant of DLC is Ric Taylor:
Ric's 25 years experience in this field has included working at senior levels within and to the ACT Public Service, the Australian Public Service, the not-for-profit and private sectors across Australia. As a highly experienced executive coach and consultant with a Masters in Coaching Psychology, Ric's passion lies in unlocking human potential. He has led a wide range of organisational culture improvement projects which have resulted in demonstrable change using best practice assessment and development tools. He has coached and developed professional specialists, managers and executives across many industries, and holds certifications in 360 feedback and other tools. Ric has designed and facilitated planning sessions and workshops covering a wide span of topics customised to each audience. He has a particular depth of experience and expertise in working in the health and human services sector, from acute tertiary hospitals to regional community health organisations and has presented on this at national and international conferences (see below).
Ric’s effectiveness is underpinned by empathy, curiosity, a strong evidence-based approach and a growth mindset.
